Diagonal

This flat is characteristic of the Eixample, connecting the street with the block patio through a gallery and interior light patios. Its elongated shape and the scarce luminosity are downsides to be taken into account as a starting point.

The proposal consists in concentrating the day zone in one side of the apartment with a kitchen which takes over a section of the corridor. The kitchen thus relates to the living room and the exterior more directly. On the other side, the main bedroom takes over another corridor section and part of the gallery. This new configuration allows more uses than before.

For the light to reach the interior more easily, glass and mirror carpentry devices are installed. Also with this aim, false ceilings are either heightened or eliminated, making the structure visible.

All furnitures are integrated in order to create more fluidity and movement freedom.
