Balmes

Nausica and Pere told us they wanted to tear down a bearing wall in order to enlarge their living room and we encouraged them to go for a larger intervention which changed the relationship between the different spaces in the house.

The project consists in creating a central area for circulation which connects the living room, the kitchen and the studio. The space leads towards the back terrace, in order to turn away from the noisy street and uninteresting views. Thus, the ambiance becomes much more amiable. The open kitchen overlooking the living room and connected with the studio through sliding doors functions as the new core of the home.
